Rio Grande Sports Information
KENT, Ohio - Tyanna Petty-Craft and Madi Oiler set new school records over the weekend as the University of Rio Grande women's track and field team opened its indoor season in the Golden Flash Gala at the Kent State University Field House.
Petty-Craft, a senior from Somerset, Ohio, placed sixth in the 300-meter run with a time of 42.40, eclipsing Rachel Taylor's previous school record of 43.05 set in 1997.
Petty-Craft also met the "B" standard for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championship in the High Jump with an effort covering 5-05.00 - good enough for a tie for third place.
Oiler, a freshman from Gallipolis, Ohio finished fifth in the 500-meter run with a time of 1:20.82 - a mark that topped the previous school record of 1:21.16 set by Clarissa Johnson in 2014.
