[Men's Cross Country] Rio's Carpenter wins Great Lakes Challenge

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Kameron Carpenter won the individual championship and led the University of Rio Grande to a third place outing as a team in Saturday's White Division of the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge Cross Country Invitational.
    Carpenter, a senior from Newark, Ohio, led the field of 139 runners by crossing the finish line of the 8k course in 26:57 - nine seconds ahead of Spring Arbor's Nathan Stout.
    Strong showings by Carpenter's teammates helped the RedStorm compile a third-place finish with 90 points.
